Who is behind Plan Higher Ed?

Julie is the founder of Plan Higher Ed, Julie Balogh LLC. After assisting over 700 people with planning for and applying to higher education institutions over the past 23 years, Julie has the knowledge base to efficiently guide applicants through the college application process.  Julie has been a Professional High School Counselor, a college admissions counselor and a financial consultant.  Given the right timeline for preparation and execution, applying for higher education can be pretty painless and more affordable than you thought.

No, the services offered by Plan Higher Ed do not replace your School Counselor.  The PHE Concierge Services are a supplement to your School Counselor's offerings.  While PHE will provide the personalized assistance that over-stretched School Counselors often cannot, PHE can also help you communicate effectively with your School Counselor.  (Most School Counselors are responsible for over 250 students each... that includes mental wellness, academic wellness, and college & career planning for each student.) 

An educational concierge, also called a higher education consultant, assists students and their families with planning and applying for college and financial aid. 

While we can step in to help a family at any point in their planning journey, the best time to contact us is as soon as possible so that we can assess and start planning accordingly.

No one can ethically offer this guarantee.  However, we can work with the student to best shape their list of higher education opportunities.
